Centenary

The Committee hopes that everybody who took part in the week-long celebrations for our Centenary had a wonderful time. We feel that the week was befitting of the club's 100 years in it's current premises.

Everybody taking part in the early week activities of whist, bingo and poker enjoyed themselves, especially with the enhanced prize money and great food on offer!

On Thursday night we had what proved to be a very successful tournament evening with Pool, Snooker, Darts and Shove Ha'penny all on offer. We were all extremely pleased with the turn-out on the night.

After a very enjoyable 'T' Dance with our very own Con Men group in the afternoon we had our usual Friday night 5 Reds Snooker knockout competition (again with extra prize money), which was won by Norman Lockwood, beating James White in the final.

The festivities really hotted up on Saturday with our members only Centenary Day. There was half priced drinks all day and food on offer, some brilliant music from the very talented young Kyle Lattimer in the afternoon, then the return of one of our favourite acts, "Spencer", in the evening.

The week was finished off with Bingo on the Sunday afternoon and a kids disco upstairs, before a fun quiz in the evening.

We hope everybody enjoyed themselves. If you have any comments about the week please feel free to send us a comment via the Contact page.
